On Saturday, April 30, 2016, an estimated 50 brave souls from St. Joseph's Catholic Church went on an an 8-mile walk for the annual annual St. Isidore Pilgrimage with temperatures in the mid-to-low 40's. The group set out to pray and bless the farmers' fields for moisture and an abundance in crops.
The nearly 3-hour trek started at St. Joseph's rectory and went south on Aspen Road. From there they walked down County Farm Road to 30th Lane. On 30th Lane the faithful went south on 30th Lane to South Road and from there walked all the way to 36th Lane, meeting at Sacred Heart in Vineland where the group then headed north on 36th Lane for the home stretch that ended at St. Therese Catholic Church.
Father Joseph Vigil, pastor at St. Joseph's Church, led a small prayer at the conclusion of the walk at St. Therese Church in Vineland, CO, All participants were then treated to a BBQ (hot dogs, hamburgers, red beans and Pueblo grown chile) courtesy of the St. Joseph's Knights of Columbus.
