Help is still needed for our next big event - The St. Joseph Table! There will be sign-up sheets in the Narthex before and after each mass this weekend. Help is needed in the areas of hauling decorations and other stuff associated with the putting up the display, putting together the table and taking it down on March 19 at 2 p.m. The more help we can get, the quicker we can get this annual event put together to share with out parishioners and the Pueblo community.

St. Joseph Catholic Church held its annual "Stations of the Cross in Song" on Friday, March 15, 2024. A crowd of approximately 150 came for the 5:30 p.m., inside the church. Below are pictures from the evening. A soup and salad dinner were hosted by the St. Joseph Council of Catholic Women (CCW) from before and after the Stations (4 p.m. - 8 p.m.). Those who came had the opportunity to listen to our amazing choirs as we journeyed the path Jesus took to his crucifixion with Fr. Steve and Deacon Ed.
Special thanks to Marcos LeBlanc, Music Ministry Director, for an amazing job of putting together this incredible group of talented singers from our parish! Patti Pugh gets credit for selecting the music and organizing the choir. Also, kudos to Gina Herrera-Parker for creating the program and promotional materials.
A shout out also goes to Richard Noriega, St. Joseph's altar server coordinator, for organizing our incredible altar boys and girls each year during this time of Lent.

The Knights of Columbus (KOC) of St. Joseph (#9456) have introduced a new program called "The Holy Family"
We are inviting parishioners of any household to consecrate themselves to the Holy Family. Each week the parishioner will take the sanctuary of the Holy Family into their homes for one week of daily prayer. At the end of your week, you will bring back the sanctuary to the church for the next family.
Fr. Steve gives a blessing before two parishioners take home the Family Shriine as Deacon Ed looks on
Holy Family Testimonial:
"I have had the opportunity to take the Holy Family into my home three times. I can't even begin to express the extra peace and love that is felt with the Holy Family displayed in my family room. The prayers that are given with it are beautiful. This past Thanksgiving, I had it, and as we prayed before our meal, I included the dedication of my family to the protection of the Holy Family as part of our grace. I feel that if others could sense the love coming from the Holy Family display, people would be lining up to take it into their homes." -- Karen DeCarlo
"Having the Holy Family in your home is a great way to reflect on the love of family and pray for everyone in your lives in a concentrated effort. It is a beautiful way to start your day and/or a peaceful way to end the day. The time you take for prayer and reflection is a precious gift from the Holy Family. I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to invite the Holy Family into their home and into their lives. You will want to do it on a regular basis because of the peace it brings into your life and home." -- Terrie Tafoya
The Chalice for Vocations ministry was developed to promote fervent and devotional prayer for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life. These specific intentions are raised as the chalice travels within the parish community.
A prayer guide is provided and geared for readers that are young or old. Spontaneous and personal prayers for vocations are always acceptable and welcome also. Please incorporate prayers for an increase in vocations within your prayer life.
If you would like to receive the Chalice for Vocations for a week, please contact the parish office at 719-544-1886. Thank you. Be confident that your prayers are heard.
'In the name of God, stop this massacre': Pope Francis on Ukraine The following video is courtesy of The Guardian
Dear Parishioners,
As a Community of St. Joseph, we are devastated by the recent events in Ukraine. Let us join the world in prayer. We turn to God for guidance and direction, and prayer that you look over the people of Ukraine. Give them strength and courage during this difficult time. We pray to you, oh God, for peace and a resolution to this conflict.
We pray for all the people of the Ukraine and we ask Our Blessed Mother and St. Joseph and St. Michael for Intercessions!
A PRAYER FOR UKRAINE From the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet
O Prince of Peace, We pray for the people of Ukraine this day. May conflict cease and peace be restored. May those in power soon find ways of peace. God of peacemakers Teach us the ways of peace. Come and show us how to beat our swords into plowshares, tools of life instead of instruments of fear. Strip us of all strategies of conquest, Make our hearts alive to your movement toward peace with our dear neighbor. We pray for the people of Ukraine this day. Amen.
Bible Verse for Today
Some of them even wanted to arrest Jesus, but no one laid hands on him. So the guards went to the chief priests and Pharisees, who asked them, “Why did you not bring him?” The guards answered, “Never before has anyone spoken like this man.”
– John 7:40-53
